ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE NEEDS OF HEALTH ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT CLASS OF 2022 AT ITSBM SELAYAR

Abstract


This research investigated the English language needs of students majoring in Health Administration at Institut Teknologi Sains dan Bisnis Muhamadiyah Selayar This research involved 26 respondents. Questionnaires and close ended questions were used to collect data. The results showed that the students' level of proficiency in all components of English (reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary) was at a moderate level, with average scores of Reading (2.69), Writing (2.65), Listening (2.69), Speaking (2.42), Grammar (2.42), and Vocabulary (2.57) respectively. The problems experienced by students are lack of English vocabulary and lack of confidence. In addition, the most preferred learning methods are group study and self-study. The purpose of this tesearch is to determine or identify the English language needs of health administration students
