Al-Qur'an is a source of knowledge and a source of study that is continuously studied in every era and in every generation. In addition, struggling or studying the Qur'an is a very noble honor. Thus, many people focus on studying the Qur'an, and one of them is Sheikh Mahmoud al-Hamzawi. One of the works of interpretation that emerged in this modern-contemporary era is the book Tafsir Durr al-Asrar fi Tafsir Al-Qur'an bi al-Huruf al-Muhmalah by Mahmud Ibn Mahmoud al-Hamzawi al-Hanafi, the method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research. Provides an overview of the sincerity of the mufassir and his views in his interpretation. This research was conducted by means of a literature review (library research). The sincerity of Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Hamzawi can be seen in his efforts to use a separate method in his interpretation, where he applies a unique way of interpreting the Qur'an, by avoiding the use of dots, so that there are no dots in his interpretation. besides that, he is a productive scholar. can be seen from the number of his works, even in almost all branches of knowledge. And because the Qur'an is like an ocean whose wonders and uniqueness will not be lost by time, different interpretations with different methods and approaches are born. The method used by Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Hamzawi in his interpretation is by using the ijmaly method, namely by dividing long surah into groups of verses. Then the interpreter explains the meaning in general, explaining the meaning without elaborating.
