Education in the 4.0 era or the era of society 5.0 continues to develop following the times. However, instilling the value of Islamic education must continue to be carried out to be able to realize the character of the nation. The planting of Islamic education is mostly done in madrasa schools, but it is different from SMA Al Azhar Mandiri Palu, which is not a religious school but is able to apply the values ​​of Islamic education, also based on the teachings of science given by the cleric Sayyid Idrus Bin Salim Al Jufri. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to describe the implementation of Islamic education in Al Azhar Mandiri High School Palu. The research was conducted by interviewing students, teachers, and school leaders. The results showed that Islamic education was based on the teachings of Sayyid Idrus Bin Salim Al Jufri because the founder of the school was a direct student of the ulema. The values ​​of Islamic education that are applied are religious, nationalist, caring, religious tolerance values ​​which are part of the nation's character values
