Author Guidelines

 

Submission Process:

  1. Abstract Submission:

    • Authors should submit an abstract of their proposed paper through the conference website by May 20th, 2025.
    • The abstract must be written in English and should not exceed 300 words.
    • Clearly state the objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions of the research.
  2. Full Paper Submission:

    • Upon acceptance of the abstract, authors are invited to submit their full papers by June 13th, 2025.
    • Full papers must be written in English and should adhere to the conference template and guidelines available on the conference website.
    • The maximum length of the paper, including references, should not exceed [word count limit] words.

Paper Formatting:

  1. General Formatting:

    • Use Segoe Fluent Icons font, 12-point size, and 1 line spacing.
    • Set margins to 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
    • Page numbers should be centered at the bottom of each page.
  2. Title Page:

    • The title page should include the paper title, author(s) names, affiliations, and email addresses.
    • Indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk (*) and provide their contact information.
  3. Abstract and Keywords:

    • The abstract should be a concise summary of the paper, highlighting the main objectives and findings.
    • Include 3 to 5 keywords that best represent the content of the paper.
  4. Introduction:

    • Clearly state the research problem, objectives, and relevance of the study.
    • Provide a brief literature review to contextualize the research.
  5. Methodology:

    • Describe the research design, data collection methods, and data analysis techniques used in the study.
  6. Results and Discussion:

    • Present the findings of the study in a clear and organized manner.
    • Analyze and interpret the results, relating them to the research objectives.
  7. Conclusion:

    • Summarize the key findings and their implications.
    • Discuss the significance of the research and suggest future directions.
  8. References:

    • Follow the APA citation style for formatting references.
    • Ensure that all cited works are listed in the References section, and vice versa.

Review Process:

  • All submitted papers will undergo a peer-review process to ensure quality and academic rigor.
  • Authors will receive feedback and recommendations from reviewers to improve their papers.

Publication:

  • Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
  • Please note that at least one of the paper's authors must register for the conference and present the paper to be included in the proceedings.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca) are activated and ready to click.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Conference.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed track of the conference, authors' names are removed from submission, with "Author" and year used in the bibliography and footnotes, instead of authors' name, paper title, etc.
  7. If submitting to peer review, all Microsoft Office documents (including Supplementary Files) have been saved by going to File and selecting Save As; clicking Tools (or Options in a Mac); clicking Security; selecting "Remove personal information from file properties on save"; clicking Save.
