This study aims to examine the profession of female librarians at UIN Alauddin Makassar and Muhammadiyah University. The research focuses on understanding the challenges, experiences, and perceptions of female librarians in these educational institutions. Through a case study approach, data was collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings shed light on the unique aspects of the profession, including gender dynamics, career development opportunities, and the impact of cultural factors. The study emphasizes the importance of recognizing and addressing the specific needs and aspirations of female librarians to promote gender equality and professional growth in the field.
