Abstract


The problem of gender inequality in Afghanistan impacts on the economy. Though the analyses related to issues have been analysed very well. This research analysed the deeply on patriarchy system which impacts gender inequality and then relates to the economic decline in Afghanistan. The system of patriarchy then legalized the gender inequality practice in Afghanistan which impact on bigger consequences in the economic world. Though the Taliban as a sporadic movement in Afghanistan bring about the Islamic view, there is no discrimination against a person’s position based on gender in Islam, so the legitimation of gender inequality results in some bias. Restrictions for women to workplace, education, and politics then really impact on the decline on the economy in Afghanistan analyzed in this research. The consequences are then analyzed from an Islamic view. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach based on sources from books, journals, and articles. This research has a hypothesis that the patriarchy system resulted in some bias in the Islamic government bring out on Afghanistan. This research is important to analyse the phenomenon of Islamic sporadic movements, especially in Afghanistan.
