One of the specific nahwu problems is the problem of Lan al-Nafiyah fromin terms of form – consisting of one word or composed of two words - and in terms of meaning - shows the meaning of ta'kid (affirmation) or means ta'bid (forever). This research is qualitative with descriptive and interpretative characteristicspart of library research. The research results showthere are differences of opinion on the structure of the word lan, consisting of one word orcomposed of two words. The strong opinion according to experts that the word lan consistsfrom one word. The research results also indicate differences among linguists aboutthe meaning of the word lan in the Qur'an al-Karim, between the meanings of ta'kid or ta'bid.The opinion chosen by linguists is the meaning of ta'kid. The meaning is stronger thanlaa, because lan is more specifically for the meaning of the future (istiqbal) and more specificallyentered in fi'il mudhori. From these differences we can take advantagethat difference is the richness of the Arabic language, and is onehow to understand Arabic, especially understanding the meaning of the Qur'an.
