The purposes of this study were (1) to find out how the description of parenting patterns of students, (2) to find out how the description of the nutritional status of students and (3) to find out whether there was an influence between parenting style and nutritional status of students in Pertiwi Malacca Kindergarten. The type of research applied was in the form of quantitative research with descriptive methods, the research design applied was survey.,The sample applied in this study were 16 parents and 16 students. The instruments applied were a questionnaire for parenting patterns and a test instrument for the nutritional status of children. The data analysis technique used normality test, linearity test and hypothesis testing. The results of the study: (1) Overview of parenting patterns of students' parents, authoritarian parenting is in the medium category, namely 10 (62.5%), permissive parenting is in the medium category, namely 9 (56.2%) and democratic parenting is in the middle category. the high category is 8 (50%). The dominant parenting pattern of parents is democratic parenting, as many as 16 people (100%). (2) The description of the nutritional status of students, there are 10 students (62.5%) who have good nutritional status, 5 students (31.2%). (3) There is an effect of parenting parents on the nutritional status of students with p-value significant results, authoritarian parenting on nutritional status obtained a significance result of p 0.022, permissive parenting on nutritional status obtained a significance result of p 0.020, democratic parenting on the nutritional status of students obtained a significance result of p 0.010 and the results of the significance of parenting on nutritional status obtained a significance result of p 0.006.
