Abstract


This study aims (1) to determine the ability to recognize letters in early childhood before carrying out the learning method through the alphabet box group A Kindergarten Tunas Harapan Balangriri Desa Bontominasa Village, Bulukumba Regency. (2) This study aims to determine the abilty to recorgnize letters in early chilhood after using the alfabet box learning method. (3) to find out whether there is an influence of the alphabet box media on the development of the abilty to recognize letters. This type of reseach showed that the highest score for pretest was 26 and posttest was 50. The lowest score for pretest was 20 and posttest was 40. The average score for pretest was 22,8 and posttest was 46,8, so it can be concluded that the alphabet box games  an effect on the ability to recorgnize children”s letters in TK Tunas Harapan Balangriri Village, Bulukumba Regency. This type of research uses quantitative research with experimental menthods, the research design used is one group pretest-posttest design, data analysis techniques use descriptive.
