Impact and policy measures of Pakistan during COVID-19 pandemic in education sector

Abstract


The Covid-19 pandemic had been hitting the globe previously. Almost every country was affected by the pandemic. The coronavirus epidemic has had a significant influence on Pakistan's economic activities as well as the loss of human life. But among all sectors education system faced major effects. With a few notable exceptions, almost all industries have been negatively impacted. As domestic demand and exports have sharply decreased, with few notable exceptions where high growth had been witnessed. This study examines how the public health issue had been impacted Pakistan’s most importantly economic sectors and specially education. Though the government put in place certain mitigating measures, but they were insufficient to combat the pandemic's effects. The Study suggests that impact and policy measures need to be more pro-active to be effect and implicated on ground measures if in future such calamities again hit the globe.
