Abstract

Objective: This study was to identify whether there was a relationship between wound stage and exudate in diabetic wounds. Method: This study used a cross-sectional approach which was carried out at the Gocare  Indonesia Wound Care Clinic in Indonesia with a total sample of 288 participants (441 wounds) in 2020-2022 with a purposive sampling method. Data analysis using chi-square test. Results: The results showed that the respondent's characteristics based on gender were mostly male (55.2%), and the average age among the patients was 54.94 years. There was a relationship between the stage of the wound and the type of exudate in diabetic wounds (p = <0.0001). Conclusion: It can be concluded that exudate is a factor that needs to be considered in treating diabetic wounds.
